Autenried/Munich, September 2025 – Great joy at the Schlossbrauerei Autenried: With the Autenrieder Pilsner and the Autenrieder Leonhardi Bock The brewery was able to win the prestigious European Beer Star 2025 and were awarded twice.

At the award ceremony held during the trade fair drinktec in Munich The team from Schlossbrauerei Autenried accepted the awards. In the German-Style Pilsner category, the Autenrieder Pilsner was judged and awarded the Bronze Award. The brewery also received the Bronze Award in the German-Style Dark Doppelbock category for the Autenrieder Leonhardi-Bock.

Autenrieder Brewery presents two winning beers: Leonhardi-Bock – powerful Doppelbock with tradition

With the Leonhardi-Bock The Autenrieder Brewery brings a traditional specialty to the glass. The black-red shimmering Doppelbock owes its name and recipe to Leonhard Feuchtmayr, the father of the current senior boss of the family brewery.

At least This strong Bock matures for 100 days in the cold maturing cellarbefore it develops its full aroma. Its taste is convincing due to fine sherry notes, which is from a rich malt body be worn. The powerful malty character, nuances of caramel and a warming, soft finish make the Leonhardi-Bock a special moment of enjoyment.

The Autenrieder Pilsner convinced as extra light and elegant top pilsnerIt owes its fine, slightly bitter aroma to the use of 100 % finest cone hops from Spalt and Hallertau – Guarantee of the highest quality and classic pilsner enjoyment.

In terms of character, it presents itself sparkling, slim, dry and tart – a beer that impresses with its freshness and elegance and becomes a distinctive companion for convivial gatherings.

Participation in the European Beer Star 2025:

Since its founding in 2004, the European Beer Star has been considered one of the most important beer competitions in the world and the toughest of its kind. Organized by the Association of Private Breweries of Bavaria, it recognizes authentic, characterful, and high-quality beers – predominantly in classic European beer styles. Breweries from all over the world can participate: local, regional, or international, regardless of size or origin.

This year, 2,202 beers from 22 countries in 74 different categories the judgment of a 150-member international expert jury, consisting of master brewers, beer sommeliers, trade journalists, and other beer experts. The tasting took place in Nuremberg at the beginning of August in a two-day blind tasting, with sensory criteria – appearance, aroma, taste, and varietal characteristics – being the deciding factor. Only the three best beers in each category were awarded gold, silver, or bronze.

The Schlossbrauerei Autenried regularly participates in competitions with both products and has already won gold, silver and bronze awards in the past.

Managing Director Rudolf Feuchtmayr emphasizes:
"We are extremely proud that our beers were able to impress the expert jury and receive the award. This success demonstrates that we are among the world's leading beers when it comes to beer quality." Also Kilian Kittl, Managing Director of the organizer Private Brauereien Bayern, underlines the importance of the award:

"The European Beer Star enjoys an outstanding reputation worldwide. Often, only nuances determine who ultimately receives a medal."

For Schlossbrauerei Autenried, the award at the European Beer Star 2025 is a valuable confirmation of its consistent quality work – and at the same time an incentive to continue brewing at the highest level.
