With us at the brewery Gasthof Eck in the Bavarian Forest you will find exactly the right place for your weekend trip, short vacation or business trip in the region. We are your hotel in the Bavarian Forest. With us you will find high-quality junior suites, cozy rooms in our malt floor and of course rustic single and double rooms in our forester's house. Old Bavarian tavern specialties paired with great inventiveness in the kitchen of our young chef David Markuzzi and his team and the home-brewed beers from the owner and master brewer Gerd Schönberger. Our service team with Ivana, Petra, Manuela and all the hard-working hands and, last but not least, the centuries-old oak ceiling in the Bräustüberl, supported by metre-thick walls, give our inn in the Bavarian Forest, here at the Gasthof Eck brewery, this unmistakable charm.
Saphir Bock Behind this name lies our well-hopped light Bock. Golden yellow in color, with a slight cloudiness from the yeast, the sapphire bock shimmers in the glass. Poacher Dunkel AWARDED with the EUROPEAN BEER STAR IN GOLD 2009 and SILVER 2012. This dark beer is probably the most traditional of our small brewery. Natur Festbier As the name suggests, our Festbier is a tasty beer specialty that is only brewed between May and October and especially for special and very special occasions.
For over 550 years, it has been a tradition and passion to brew fine, tasty beers from the best raw materials in Bavaria. For many generations, recipes have been written down, further developed and adapted to the spirit of the times - carefully and always careful to do justice to the real taste of our Eck brewery and to take into account the tradition of good beer.
In our inn you can enjoy genuine Lower Bavarian delicacies. Dishes and recipes that you can no longer find everywhere. Our dishes, like our beers, are prepared by hand. The best ingredients from the region guarantee the best quality - and you can taste it and it will stay that way in the future. In 2017 & 2023 we redesigned our rooms in the main house and some of the rooms in the forester's house. We will continue to work on offering you the best quality for your time with us in the future. By the way, the new playground will be built on March 24th!
