Our hotel rooms are designed based on the basic ingredients of beer. (Hop kiln, malt barn & fountain yard). The property is listed, the rooms are equipped with solid wooden furniture and floors. The Griesbräu zu Murnau – the Bavarian formula for happiness! Eat well, drink & have fun in the brewery, enjoy our beers from the brewery, relax, sleep in and enjoy life in beautiful Murnau! Events take place in the historic vaulted hall, but weddings or birthdays can also be celebrated there. In summer, the inner courtyard invites you to linger. We are located at the beginning of Murnau's beautiful pedestrian zone, and there is also a cinema in the building. Welcome!

Brewing has been taking place here since the 17th century. Michael Gilg opened the brewery with an integrated brewhouse in 2000. Since then we have been brewing light, wheat and dark beer at Griesbräu. 10 seasonal beers spread throughout the year. Each one is described on a beer menu. You can also take our beers home with you in masonry bottles and beer cans. Exclusive!
